A big thanks to everyone who slogged through the rain during our garbage detail. This was an important fundraiser for our club and thanks to everyone's chipping in we were able to to complete our duty. A huge thanks to James Stokes and Robert Dance who were there every day and night making sure the job got done. We couldn't have done it without you!
After an exciting weekend of racing at the final set of National Team Trials in Montreal, the Canadian team racing at the 2009 World Championships has been determined!

The Dominion Day regatta went off successfully despite the garbage strike and the threat of rain. Masters paddlers travelled to Welland instead of the traditional Toronto Island location and were pleased to discover a well planned race day and excellent weather. The highlight of the day was a tight finish to a war canoe race in which one of the Burloak crews edged out Missy at the finish.
