Burloak Celebrates Olympic Torch
December 20, 2009 - 4:21pm | CNICHOLSON Burloak was a hub of activity yesterday as the Olympic Torch ran -not by- but literally through our club parking lot. An enthusiastic crowd turned up to cheer on silver Olympic medalist John Wood (1976) as he arrived to receive the flame from fellow Olympian, Adam vanKoeverden. (gold & bronze in 2004, silver in 2008)
BCC Members in Olympic Torch Relay
December 15, 2009 - 3:59pm | GClarke The Olympic torch relay runs through Oakville and Burlington this Saturday, Dec. 19th and through Jordan on Sunday, Dec. 20th. There are four members of the club taking part as runners in these three municipalities. Please take the opportunity to come out and support your clubmates as they participate in this exciting and historic event!
Annual General Meeting held November 29th
December 8, 2009 - 8:19pm | CNICHOLSON The 2009/2010 board was elected at the AGM with a few of the same faces and some new volunteers bringing fresh ideas to the table. The meeting gave the club a chance to recognize achievements of the club over the past year as well as some individual members.
