Masters Program

This program is for both experienced and inexperienced paddlers. Masters athletes are 25 years and older. Participants will learn to paddle all boats; singles, doubles and fours as well as war canoe. Training is done in a group environment. Athletes will have the opportunity to compete in age class local regattas, Canmas and the National Championships*. Participants in this program are entitled to compete in any Junior and Senior War Canoe and four boats events.

The program will include:

Single, double and crew boat training
On-water instruction and coaching
Summer social events
Winter training which includes, dry-land and weight training.

An Introductory Masters Membership is available for first year novice paddlers. This membership does not include transfers from other Clubs. These members are entitled to the full Masters program and are responsible for all the Club commitments.
The facility and specified equipment will available seven days a week at times designated by the Head Coach.
The on-water program runs from May to October.
Winter training runs from October to April at the Burloak Canoe Club.

Masters...born in or after 1978.

*To compete at Nationals, athletes must be 35 years or older.
