After an eventful and windy weekend of racing in Welland, Ontario, several Burloak athletes were nominated to Canadian teams for the 2009 season.

The 2009 international tour team will be representing Canada at the World Cup regattas in Poland and Hungary. Burloak athletes on this team are:

• Chris Pellini (kayak)
• Jamie Andison (canoe)
• Mark Klevinas (canoe)
• Mark Oldershaw (canoe)

An under 23 team will be representing Canada at the Pan American Canoe/Kayak Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Burloak athletes on this team are:

• Chris Mehak (kayak)
• Cory Rublee (canoe)
• Geoff Clarke (kayak)
• Malorie Nicholson (canoe)
