BCC is a racing club, but some of us do other stuff in canoes, too. Fun stuff, like running white water and paddling to remote campsites. Join the camaraderie and enjoy great food. Take advantage of our experience and qualifications (ORCA Certification and St. John Ambulance First Aid) and join us for spring through fall fun and relaxation. We provide trips at cost to BCC Members, non-members pay a 50% premium (and still pay much less than they would with a commercial outfitter).

Trip Descriptions:
Day Trips on local rivers are designed to develop or refine white water paddling skills while enjoying the first breathes of spring on optimal water levels. Great opportunity to learn white water and general canoeing skills before challenging yourself on bigger rivers. Wet suits are recommended depending on the weather. For each additional spring trip booked, the fun increases but the cost reduces by $5.00 per trip to a minimum of $20.00. Approximately 4 hours paddling of local creeks. All rivers within a 1/2 hour drive.

Madawaska River
Four days of running great Class I to Class III rapids. Play in the rapids as well as getting instruction on white water skills in the rapids and eddys. On the May long weekend you can choose to arrive early Friday morning or alternatively join us Saturday morning. “Big” Rick will fight the current upstream to see that you have a safe trip down. Two nights camping at Rifle Chute (Class III rapid) and one night on the island. Great rapids at the island to sit in or have a dip. Our Madawaska trip is one of the most popular so sign up early to reserve your spot. (3½ hour drive)

Long Point
Little Kids’ Trip – Beach Camping on Lake Erie and canoeing on the lake. Parental attendance is mandatory. Contact Ildico Tettero 905-827-8002 to reserve. (1½ hour drive)

Frost Centre Weekend
The Harvest Moon trip, our end of season trip blending a little melancholy with great food and a last goodbye to the water and the friends we shared it with this year. Arrive Friday night for a moonlight paddle to the campsite. A day trip planned for Saturday. An opportunity to enjoy “Big” Rick’s turkey over an open fire. (2½ hour drive)
